a study of American culture

Hallo, I'm new to this community.
I'm a Russian who studies American culture.
I'm working on my postgrad thesis in lingvoculturology and cross-cultural studies and I'm asking you for help.

IF YOU ARE FROM THE USA AND YOU ARE A NATIVE SPEAKER, please help me (it's terribly difficult to find an American here in Russia and make him/her answer the
questions :))).

Please, give a detailed example – like a scene from a movie, a book or from life - of a situation when a person is having fun. Give your AGE, please.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR HELP!

‘Fun’ is a fairly broad category. Perhaps you should be a bit more specific. Maybe post a questionnaire…Not sure how relevant this is for you, but have you tried the linguaphiles community? http://community.livejournal.com/linguaphiles

Fun to me is the challenge of making words paint a picture:

Frustrated, I ripped my keyboard from the tray and slammed it into the desk, sending plastic keys flying. They spread their little wings and soared - small punctuation marks, consonants and vowels floating in the air. The keypad numbers met their matches from the top row and hovered for a moment in silent recognition before taking off in pursuit of their happy binary dreams. The rest of the set followed me around spelling out simple greetings and phrases to passersby like "Hi!", "Nice Day", "OK" and "F U".

Bringing a little of the fantastic into life is what makes it fun:

once upon a time there was a girl who refused the notion of punctuation and decided to write a story she breathed heavily as she took her first step over the period and sidestepped the quotation mark but she managed to remain intelligible until she tripped over a semi colon and hung upside down from an apostrophe in the end she hoped that she had made a point

It's a way to share part of my imagination with others.
